Eliminate Worries and Anxious Thoughts

A 15 min Guided Meditation

I developed this meditation exercise over several sittings of trial and error to find the best method to not just stop worrying about pointless things (all things we worry about are usually pointless, by the way), but to also remove the power of the worry or anxious thought by naming it and examining it while getting rid of it.

This exercise encourages you to see your own worry space inside your mind and what your worries in there look like. I won’t share my images here in order to not influence what you see in yours, but I am happy to share what mine look like if you want to send me a DM.

I hope you enjoy this and I hope it resonates for you. You can repeat this as many times as it takes to clear your worry space internally. I think it took me 3-4 trips to my worry room to fully clear it, and then I return daily to wipe things down and revisit anything new that has popped up since yesterday.

I find another real benefit of this exercise is it helps you see just how much time and energy you give to worrying and anxious thoughts, and the space they take up in your head. Once you’re aware, it becomes easier to recognize the pattern and begin to break it. This won’t happen overnight, and I encourage you to work with a trained mental health professional should the need arise.
