Hey, so I recently reopened my books to give tarot readings, after a years long break from this part of my spiritual practice, in which I needed to focus on caring for myself.
This post is not about that, however, if you’re interested in a reading, any question, as low as $5 (really), you can find that on my Ko-fi page: https://ko-fi.com/ritualwytch/shop
This post is about wanting to spread the wealth when it comes to reading cards. As a card reader for over 25 years, I’ve picked up many tricks and lots of advice from those who have come before me.
I often get people who ask me how did I learn this and how to improve reading for themselves or others.
The basics are pretty standard across most methods of reading, and contrary to what many popular books and websites will have you believe, you do NOT need to memorize all 78 card meanings to be successful at reading for yourself.
Rather than create yet another online course to teach tarot, I thought I would make this more accessible to anyone who is interested. It will be included with any paid subscription (as little as $5/month). That’s right.
For $5 you can get a crash course in reading tarot cards.
If you are already an experienced reader, I’ll have some additional options for diving even deeper to use the astrological, numerological, and even Kabbalistic/Qabbalistic meanings behind the cards to elevate your practice and use them for manifestation and spell work.
This course will not be focused on memorizing card meanings, however, there will be some card interpretations worked into it.
There are already hundreds of books on tarot card meanings, and I am not trying to add to that.
This course will blend tradition, intuition, history, and spiritualism, to bring you to a more confident understanding of tarot so that you can develop your own skills and interpretations more successfully.
Each day, you’ll receive a post/email with that day’s ‘lesson’ broken into brief tips and exercises, which should take no more than 10 minutes, but you can stretch it out and practice as much as you like.
My hope is by the end of that 30 days, you will not need to refer to a book of meanings when reading your cards!
You do not need to do anything to sign up, other than be a paid subscriber.
You will need a tarot deck of your choice, and I do recommend it includes figures (people, animals or other beings), but it does not specifically have to be the Rider-Waite-Smith deck; it should have some basis in that imagery construct.
To clarify what I mean, I know there are many new decks (I own around 250 myself), and some tend toward symbols and abstract shapes rather than persons or personified beings/animals. The symbols might be pretty, however, they are difficult to learn tarot systems of imagery and symbology because they often lack movement, direction, and emotion portrayed by personified subjects.
Once you master your own intuitive reading of tarot, those more abstract decks may be fine, but in my experience they are difficult for beginners to learn from.
If you’re not here to learn tarot don’t worry! I’ll continue developing and posting other great woo-woo content for everyone.
This course will start next Sunday, January 12th and run through February 8th.
I can’t wait to see you there!
